Which scripting components are supported for Linux?

This article applies to:

- All Linux domains

Summary

We are currently running Redhat Enterprise Linux with Apache. Please email us to check for the latest version.

List of components:

- PHP 5.2.6 with GD (2.0.12 compatible), Register_globals are on and Safe_mode is off.

- FrontPage 2002.

- C/C++ CGI.

Note: CGI applications must be compiled locally and uploaded. Customers do not have access to external
libraries, or to gcc (the Linux C compiler).

- suEXEC. This feature allows Apache users to run CGI (Common Gateway Interface) and SSI (Server Side Include)
programs under user IDs that are different from the user ID of the calling web server.

Note: Normally, when a CGI or SSI program executes, it runs as the same user who is running the web server.
Used correctly, this feature can considerably reduce the security risks involved in allowing users to develop and run
private CGI or SSI programs.

- Sendmail, but only to send emails generated by scripts.
- PERL v5.6.1
